The exhibition marks the fiftieth anniversary since artists AA Bronson, Felix Partz and Jorge Zontal met and formed the collective General Idea. The paintings and wallpaper displayed in the show are part of the renowned body of work known as “Imagevirus”, conceived to address the theme of the AIDS crisis. The artists adapted the iconic work “LOVE” by Robert Indiana, substituting its four letters with “A-I-D-S”. This work was disseminated through different media including paintings, sculptures, postage stamps, posters and magazine covers, reaching a wide audience and achieving an international resonance.
