Adam Khalil & Bayley Sweitzer with Oba: Nosferasta

Gasworks hosts a new film commission by filmmakers Adam Khalil and Bayley Sweitzer, starring the artist and musician Oba, who also co-wrote the film. “Nosferasta”, which premieres here at Gasworks, tells the story of a Rastafarian vampire, through which Oba’s origins are reimagined. Through this imaginative story, the artists get the chance to address pressing issues regarding imperial conquest and being complicit with it and address the question of decolonisation once it is in your blood.
