Amy Sillman: Landline

Camden Art Centre, Arkwright Rd, London NW3 6DG, UK

Landline features a varied body of work by Amy Sillman, including gestural drawing, painting, silkscreen print processes, video animation and zines. The works by Sillman explore different themes, spanning the political, social and emotional spheres; for the occasion the artist has created a site-specific installation, creating large-scale double-sided works on paper, which encompass drawing, painting and print. All her pieces originate from long periods of gestation, during which the artist repeatedly manipulate them, so that the process of creation becomes as important as the final object itself and is inscribed in the surfaces and textures of her works.
