Angela Bulloch at Rolls Royce
Cipher of L., a new installation by Turner Prize nominee Angela Bulloch (b.1966, Rainy River) will be unveiled on Thursday 9 October 2014 at Rolls Royce London showroom.
The artwork will be on display for three weeks to coincide with Frieze Art Fair
Cipher of L. takes the form of a ‘Pixel Box’ installation that mimics the properties of a Rolls-Royce motor car.
The artist is known for her interest in systems, patterns and rules, and the creative territory between mathematics and aesthetics. This new installation will incorporate certain physical, as well as conceptual, elements of a Rolls-Royce motor car, exploring the relationship between art, technology and craftsmanship. will have the same dimensions as a Rolls-Royce Phantom and will be presented as the feature showpiece of the space for the duration of the exhibition. The installation will emit coloured light over the other motor cars in the showroom, themselves individually commissioned pieces of automotive art.
