Anime at Frameless Gallery
ʻNo excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness.ʼ Aristotle
Anime, the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being regarded as immortal. Frameless Gallery presents Anime, a group exhibition of Italian emerging artists working in various media: Isabella Genova, Denise Rana, Giulio Gonnella, Filippo Bernabei, Viola Zini, Franz Murtas and Martina Campici.
Anime captures and explores the essence of human being and soul. As the title implies, the exhibition refers to our struggle to live meaningful and spiritual lives while responding to a world that is constant flux. It also reflects the tendency to hold on to the past or to simply passively hope for a better future. Our soul or spirit is constantly in movement as well – it is animated by its inner life and thus creates its own spiritualspace immediately around it. When coming into contact with the changing outside world, this movement is amplified. The artists present an eclectic collection of viewpoints that investigate the relationship between body and soul and emphasize the integration of the physical and spiritual experience in art.
