Artist Rooms: Jenny Holzer
Artist Rooms: Jenny Holzer, the latest in the series of annual displays, brings together works by artist Jenny Holzer, including pieces rarely-seen or shown for the first time in the UK.
Holzer’s works involve different media and a pioneering use of electronic technologies, often including provoking texts to reflect upon human interactions. The show displays some of most significant works from her career such as drawings form the “Diagrams” series, 1976, or pieces from the “Truisms” one, namely aphorisms composed by the artist. Also on display the LED sculpture “FLOOR”, 2015, for the first time mounted to the ceiling instead of installed on the floor, which allows visitors to experience it from a different point of view.
The exhibition is open in the ARTIST ROOMS gallery opened in the Blavatnik Building.
