Caitlin Keogh: Alphabet and Daggers

The exhibition features new works, in which the artist Caitlin Keogh revisits anatomical motives, illustrated in a graphic style and embedding characters from medieval manuscripts. These series of works depicts intestine and body interiors, which become both a literal and metaphorical representation, imagining the torso’s interior as the site of painting and referring to the process of consumption and organisation of information. In her works, Keogh elaborate a new alphabet, defying and totally upsetting usual linguistic conventions.
