Dan Graham: Rock ‘n’ Roll
Dan Graham‘s tenth solo exhibition at Lisson Gallery explores the relationship between audience and performer, presenting a new stage-set design, alongside over-sized models, video and a courtyard pavilion.
Graham’s practice revolves around the musical and performative media and he often creates ambients or pavilions where boundaries between art and architecture blurs. The exhibition at Lisson Gallery is centred on a curvilinear stage-set which visitors will be able to walk around. Playing in the stage is the recording of his 1983 installation/ performance work with composer Glenn Branca, presented at Graham’s retrospective exhibition ‘Pavilions’ at the Kunsthalle in Berne, Switzerland.
In the gallery is presented also a film work “Don’t Trust Anyone Over 30”, alongside a new pavilion in the courtyard and documentation of his work in varied locations.
