Born in Budapest in 1937, Dóra Maurer is an important figure of the Hungarian neo-avant-garde and one of the most experimental artists to emerge from Eastern Europe in the past fifty years. The show presents works created from 1999 to the present day with a special focus on her “overlappings”: sculptural paintings exploring the potential of colour to influence human perception.
