Gauguin and the Impressionists

The Royal Academy of Arts hosts an important collection of Impressionist works

The exhibition marks a unique occasion to see the selection of works composing the Ordrupgaard Collection, locates outside Copenhagen, assembled by a wealthy Danish couple. The collection gathers iconic works by Impressionist masters, from Monet and Degas to pre-impressionist ones such as Corot and Courbet, and artists from the Barbizon School. The exhibition path concludes with a focus dedicated to Gauguin and his entire career, highlighting his artistic development over the years.
