Gauguin Portraits

National Gallery, Trafalgar Square

The National Gallery London presents the first exhibition ever devoted to Paul Gauguin’s portraits.

The exhibition spans the artist’s early years to his later years spent in French Polynesia, depicting how the French artist revolutionised the portrait genre.  Featuring about fifty works, the exhibition includes paintings, works on paper, and three-dimensional objects in a variety of media, from public and private collections worldwide.
