In the Shadow of Paradise: Chinese Video Art Since the Turn of the Century
The inaugural exhibition at Troy House | London is titled “In the Shadow of Paradise: Chinese Video Art Since the Turn of the Century” and is curated by David Elliott. Drawn from the Troy House Art Collection, the exhibition features important works by Kan Xuan, Liang Yue, Liu Yujia, Ma Liuming, Peng Yu, Shen Xin, Tang Dixin, Wang Gongxin, Yu Ji, Zhang Peili, Zheng Guogu and Zhou Xiaohu.
Troy House Art Foundation is a purpose-built non-profit space for media art in London’s Nine Elms. Under the leadership of Executive Director Zuizui Yang and founder, the artist Yuan Gong, the new space will build on the established reputation of Troy House | Jinxi (formerly Points Center for Contemporary Art) for initiating exhibitions, artist residencies and exchanges, performances, talks, and public and community educational programming.
