Johanna Love: Under a Darkening Sky
A solo exhibition revolving around Johanna Love‘s use of imagery and materials to generate complex readings of space, surface, and scale. Love combines laser-etching, print, drawing and photographic languages to create unstable, shifting material surfaces and visually unfathomable images: in her latest series “The last of the light” she presents found images of landscape combined with scientific images of dust particles collected from the heavily bombed during World War II city of Hamburg, Germany. Here dust becomes a metaphor for memory, a physical archive of time and place.
