Lee Ufan: Relatum – Stage

Installed outside the Serpentine Galleries, in the Kensington Gardens, Lee Ufan‘s installation follows the series of public sculptures already presented in the spaces outside the gallery. The artist, a previous member of the Mono-ha art movement, is inspired by its minimalistic principles. The installation in question is part of the famous series Relatum, in which the artist always works just with stone and steel uniting light-coloured rocks and rectangular iron plates. The piece in Kensington Gardens is composed by two angled and mirrored steel sheets and two different-sized stones, which have the effect of merging nature and industrial environment by reflecting the surrounding park.
