Michael Simpson: New Paintings

The first solo exhibition of the artist at the London gallery, “New Paintings” features a group of large-scale Squint paintings of Michael Simpson.

Born in Dorset of Anglo-Russian parents, Simpson makes large scale paintings in ongoing series. His artistic practice is characterised by a reduced palette and distinctive, artistic vocabulary in which Benches, Confessionals and Squints are recurring motifs explored in ongoing series of works.
