Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power
Tate Modern, Bankside
Tate Modern presents a show that opens at the height of the Civil Right movement (1963).
The exhibition gives the opportunity to visitors to see works that defined an era that changed the face of art in the US. The works depict some of the most important figures of the time including political leaders Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Angela Davis, musician John Coltrane and sporting hero Jack Johnson.
