Tim Walker: Wonderful Things
Victoria and Albert Museum features the work of British photographer Tim Walker, celebrating his 25-year career. Including more than 300 items, “Tim Walker: Wonderful Things” is the largest showcase to date dedicated to the photographer. For the occasion, Walker lead a detailed research in the V&A’s collection: the results are ten new series of photographic works, exhibited alongside the museum’s items which inspired them. Besides them, on view also some of Walker’ s previous projects, photographic sets and props, scrapbooks and sketches and some extracts from his Super 8 films. Walker’s disparate inspirational sources , from fairy tales to The Beatles’ lyrics, lead him to the creation of surreal and humorous images, halfway between fantasy and reality.
