Tschabalala Self: Thigh High

The London-based gallery Pilar Corrias hosts the second solo exhibition of American artist Tschabalala Self (b.1990 Harlem, USA). The exhibition features new paintings and works on paper representing the artist’s fantasies and attitudes surrounding the Black female body exploring issues of gender, sexuality, and racism.

Tschabalala Self lives and works in New York and New Haven and is currently an Artist in Residence at Studio Museum in Harlem, New York (2018-2019).
