Women on Aeroplanes

Women on Aeroplanes is an international multi-part research and exhibition project organised by The Showroom and The Otolith Collective, which addresses questions concerning silent narratives and individual stories which contribute to form collective thinking. The exhibition brings together works by three artists: Lungiswa Gqunta, Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum and Emma Wolukau-Wanambwa, who investigate key roles of women in struggle for liberation and  revolutionary socio-political movements which lead to achieve post-colonial nation-states in Africa.
