Real Worlds: Brassaï, Arbus, Goldin

MOCA Grand, The Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, 250 South Grand Ave,

Real Worlds: Brassaï, Arbus, Goldin, hosted at MOCA Los Angeles, brings together around one hundred works from three of the most famous photographer of modern times, namely Brassaï, Diane Arbus and Nan Goldin. The works exhibited, largely selected from the collections of MOCA, show the different visions of the world of these influential figures, filtered by their cameras, and how they used lenses to portrait and transform the reality that surrounded them. The selection includes iconic pictures such as Brassaï’s nocturnal scenes in Paris, Arbus’s portraits, and Goldin’s documentation of herself and her community.
