La Casa Encendida presents a selection works from the 1980s to the present day by Jiří Georg Dokoupil (Krnov, Czech Republic, 1954) curated by Christian Domínguez. Throughout his career the artist has resisted categorisation with his ever evolving and mutating creative style.
Dokoupil is a founding member of the Mülheimer Freiheit collective and has explored more than one hundred different artistic techniques. His constant investigation of pictorial procedures is reflected in his Soot Paintings and Whip Paintings.
