Pere Llobera: Estacional

F2 Galería presents “Estacional [Seasonal]”, a solo exhibition by the artist Pere Llobera. In spite of its title, which could remind of a changing moment or a tipping point, the exhibition reveals a transformation that has already happened. “Estacional” refers to the White Album (1968) of The Beatles: “The Beatles experienced the so-called 10,000 hours, namely a critical point of praxis of an activity from which then on you acquire mastery. I have been painting more than ten thousand hours, but at the same time I don’t give a shit about them. The double white is an extravagant disproportion. In full creative maturity, they decide to have the freedom of making a double LP to comprise all band members’ proposals” (Pere Llobera).
In this exhibition Llobera reviews the traditional components of his work to say them goodbye, staging a transient condition of his production, comprehension and interpretation of painting.
