Alejandro Cartagena

For the first time, the galley presents a solo exhibition of the photographer Alejandro Cartagena. At its core, Cartagena’s acclaimed series Carpoolers, 50 photographs of pick-up vans (all in the same format and frame) in which the artist shows a real image of how people move to work in the north of the country, a very particular social situation. Together with “Carpoolers”, the exhibition holds other pieces of work from the artist, all of which delve into social reality and growth, in a straightforward way, almost as a documentary.
