Algo Más de Lola
“Algo Más de Lola” is an immersive installation presented by Call Me Lola that transforms Casa Basalta, a 1910 Art Deco residence reimagined by architect Rodrigo Lastra, into a sensorial environment where art, light, and sound converge. Conceived through two monumental portals, the experience unfolds immersive emotional universes that activate an expanded perception.
The installation brings together a carefully curated group of artists: Fernanda Brunet (Mexico City, Mexico), a visual artist recognised for her vibrant, maximalist compositions that explore desire, abstraction, and the emotional power of colour; Sandra Leal (Monterrey, Mexico), a visual artist and sculptor whose practice focuses on transformation, emotional resonance, and material experimentation; and Iris in the Sky (New York, United States), a multidisciplinary sound artist and vocalist whose improvised compositions blend live looping, organic textures, and rhythm to create immersive soundscapes.
Curated by Kira Bayankina, a Sotheby’s-trained curator known for her global perspective on contemporary art, the exhibition reflects a curatorial approach that connects artists, collectors, and institutions through exhibitions and programmes that expand cultural access and position emerging talent on international platforms. Open to the public during Mexico City Art Week 2026, the installation is set to become one of the most significant experiences within the city’s cultural programme.
