Alois Kronschlaeger: Strata
Alois Kronschlaeger is internationally recognised for his site-specific installations and sculptures, which reflect a deep concern for the environment and light, as well as an interest in exploring time and space through geometry. His work exists at the intersection of art and architecture, characterised by abstract forms and simple materials, following the tradition of artists such as Frederick Kiesler and Buckminster Fuller.
Kronschlaeger’s work has been exhibited at prominent international institutions and festivals. Since 2011, the artist has produced six public installations of his sculptures in the United States. Between 2015 and 2023, he has created two site-specific installations in Lima, Peru; two in Mexico City; one in Sarasota, Florida; and a solo exhibition titled “Order & Disorder” in Mexico City. Other solo exhibitions include “Kind of Blue” in New York City and “Time, Space, Color” at Roldan Moderno in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Kronschlaeger currently lives and works between Brooklyn, New York, and Mexico City. He is presently presenting his second solo show at Le Laboratoire gallery in Mexico City.
