America, Lens of Solidarity
America, Lens of Solidarity deals with the social conflicts that took place in Latin America in the 1960s and the early 1980s. With over one hundred photos, this exhibition presents a testimonial of the Latin American dictatorships, the repression, as well as rebellion as an act of dignity. From the solidary point of view of the photographers, the militant, of denounce, documentaries, and artistic images are accompanied by books and prints that were made on the 1st and 2nd Latin American Colloquiums of Photo, on 1978 and 1981. The exhibition is developed in four axis: Realities, Repression, Rebellion, and Culture. The solidarity stood as the core that amalgamated the photographic guild as well as to the different Latin American peoples in face of the social repression, always in front of a solidary Latin American lens.
