Archaic Futures
This exhibition, curated by Andrea Torreblanca, brings together modern and contemporary artists who find inspiration in the archaic, the cosmic, and the mythological as possible scenarios for imagining the future. In contrast to science fiction and technology, these works use signs that foreshadow the course of history through the telluric, the material, the ancient, and the spiritual. The future is thus proposed as a temporality grounded in archetypes and universal meanings, which recur cyclically in art.
