General Expenses presents “Máquina Afectiva”, a solo exhibition by Carolina Pimenta. The exhibition brings together a series of images that explore how technical systems permeate everyday life and sensory experience, shaping new relationships between body, environment and device.

Pimenta’s images reveal how technology quietly enters the intimate sphere, influencing rhythms, affects and ways of seeing that are often taken for granted. Within the city’s constant choreography of flesh and metal, the boundary between human and machine becomes increasingly blurred, suggesting an almost tacit agreement between the two.
