Claudia Fernández: Ceremonia

Following her interest in the assimilation of Mexican objects into diverse cultural contexts, Fernández researches and collects a wide range of handmade objects and folk art from different parts of Mexico and re-contextualizes them into new objects that offer an alternative language.
“Ceremony” presents pieces as objects of historical and visual value and creating connections between individuals, leading to new social dynamics related to the way in which we get to know, disseminate and consume this legacy.
