Colección Abierta. Patrimoniales

Museo de Arte Moderno – MAM, Av. Paseo de la Reforma S/N, Miguel Hidalgo, Bosque de Chapultepec I,

The exhibition brings together 130 pieces created between 1913 and 1974, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, lithographs and drawings by famous artists such as Frida Kahlo, Saturnino Herrán, José Clemente Orozco, María Izquierdo, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Dr. Atl and Rufino Tamayo, icons of Mexican art and culture. “Colección Abierta. Patrimoniales (Open Collection. Heritage)” offers an overview of the treasures of Mexican people’s artistic heritage and which brought international recognition to Mexican art. Exhibition’s highlights are in particular María Izquierdo Archive, whose custody is in charge of the MAM, and the mural projects of the so-called “Tres  grandes “(Rivera, Siqueiros and Orozco), to which the little-known María Izquierdo’s mural project was annexed.
