Eduardo Berliner: A espessura dos dias
Eduardo Berliner’s practice spreads like an urban sprawl, moving across materials, supports, and techniques. His constant movement through Rio de Janeiro and the drive to satisfy his gaze shape the rhythm of his work, producing serendipitous outcomes. His paintings develop through interactions between pigments and varied surfaces, where stains, marks, and glazes guide the eye and initiate the creative process. Revelation emerges from everyday life—in detritus, on canvas, or paper—uniting pieces not by artist or curator but through the work itself. Berliner liberates matter, yet the true magic occurs in the interplay between his gaze, memory, and subconscious. His artworks are fragments of an infinite interior world he navigates continuously: from Lapa to Flamengo, past to future, eye to object… and back.
