Elsa Medina: Reminiscencias
Elsa Medina’s career explores different landscapes of Mexican photography: her work articulates memory, critique, and formal exploration, mapping a journey from photojournalism to visual experimentation.
The exhibition presents four focal points that reflect the diversity of her work: her photojournalistic contributions to national media, where she documented the political and social life of the country; the series focusing on vulnerability in the face of disasters, natural phenomena, and migration; her creative explorations beyond documentary recording, using alternative techniques and media; and, finally, an intimate realm where photography connects with memory and emotional bonds. Hence the title “Reminiscencias”, as each section gathers fragments of her career that resurface in this show.
