Espesa Savia. Ensayos equidistantes sobre zonas intertropicales

The exhibition tackles, from different artistic works, the imaginaries about the tropic that exist in different regions of Latin America. Through a review of the local production in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Mexico, the exhibition aims to give account of the components of these imaginaries and on the way that they deconstruct the stereotype of the tropical through different ways, either through the attack or the appropriation. It isn’t just scrutinizing the exotic idea of the tropic and the other, but to understand the contradictions that entails to live in the tropic today.
