Etienne Chambaud: Limbo
Labor presents Limbo, the fourth solo exhibition by Étienne Chambaud at the gallery.
The show transforms the space into a fragmented system of objects, thresholds, and boundaries, existing in states of suspension and metamorphosis. The works in the exhibition emerge as visible fragments of a latent whole, probing the interplay between presence and absence, inclusion and exclusion, and the boundaries of material and conceptual transformation.
Limbo reflects Étienne Chambaud’s ongoing investigation into the conditions under which objects, spaces, and their relationships are framed, dismantled, and reconstructed. Conceived as a latent space, the exhibition operates at the threshold of inclusion and exclusion, where presence is inseparable from absence, and meaning is shaped as much by what is revealed as by what is withheld.
