Félix Blume: Variaciones Sobre el Murmullo
Curator: José Luis Barrios
Artist: Félix Blume
The exhibition “Félix Blume: Variaciones sobre el Murmullo” (“Variations on the Murmur”) is a symphony of sound, featuring six pieces that capture nature’s murmurs emerging from the world’s depths. Rather than being lyrically inclined, Blume’s work focuses on nature’s sounds as calls from the world, and on childhood as a space of imagination where the possibility of shared experience between humans and living beings exists.
Without romanticising the purity of nature, “Variaciones sobre el Murmullo” opens up to an ethical order grounded in the joy of possibility. This exhibition is meant to be heard rather than seen. While video and installation serve as mediations, they highlight how sound moves through space, creating planes, depth, and vibration, all attributes of the world’s essence.
