Gwladys Alonzo: El Vicio Del Peso

Hilario Galguera Gallery presents El Vicio del Peso, an exhibition by artist Gwladys Alonzo curated by Ana Gabriela García. For this exhibition the work of Gwladys Alonzo is divided between two spaces: the terrace of Galería Hilario Galguera and El Búnker, a space for curatorial projects.

The outdoor work recalls the organic and light, while the other is confined to shadow and darkness: the living vs the inert. The exhibition creates a tension between the different ways in which sculptural monumentality and material fragility are conceived, Alonzo’s aesthetic and lexical vocabulary reveals confrontations between the natural and the industrial.
