Hugo Martínez-Tormo: La Deriva de un Gesto Post-Romántico

The exhibition starts from the artist’s reflection upon the compelling issue of pollution: the amount of plastic waste that ends up drifting in the seas and oceans is growing exponentially every decade. How can we reverse that tendency to restore an eco-sustainable way of life? From the discovery of two bottles, one in the Natural Park of the Albufera and the other in Cabo de Gata in Spain, Hugo Martínez-Tormo develops a project composed of a series of installations in which he analyses the phenomenon of pollution and
question the way in which new technologies are used nowadays.
