Jorge Satorre: Los Animales Muertos

Museo Tamayo, Paseo de la Reforma 51, Bosque de Chapultepec, Miguel Hidalgo

On the occasion of his solo show, Jorge Satorre (Mexico City, 1979) showcases an installation and a series of unedited drawings representing a stalker pursuing his prey. It is a detective story where the main motive is to resolve a case through leads and clues. In his artistic researches, the artist documents historical events which he articulates in stories In pieces that combine drawings, sculptures and texts, Satorre explores the relations between the creator of stories and images and their receivers, showing how the result is transformed by the practice of subjective interpretation.
