Julian Charriere: Midnight Zone

Av. de los Compositores, Bosque de Chapultepec II Secc, Miguel Hidalgo

Artist Julian Charriere presents “Midnight Zone” at the Natural History Museum in Mexico City. This new video installation, curated by Pedro Alonzo, is inspired by the environmental hazards of deep-sea mining and his concern for marine ecosystems.

“Midnight Zone” is the product of an extensive investigation into the geological history of the Clarion-Clipperton Fracture Zone, which includes the development of a customized underwater light house lens, that can be submerged 2,000 meters, and expeditions in the Revillagigedo Islands and the Sea of Cortez. This exhibition is supported by Fundación Coppel.
