Marek Wolfryd: Occidenterie

For his second solo show, Marek Wolfryd presents a new series of paintings and sculptures rooted in his ongoing research into the intersection of artistic and economic narratives within cultural, historical, and social contexts. These works examine artistic and cultural movements through their aesthetic discourses, focusing on the microhistorical phenomena underpinning broader narratives.

Adopting a multidisciplinary approach, Wolfryd employs media such as readymades, sculpture, installation, video, and performance to construct a conceptual framework that uncovers the complexities of narratives both within and beyond the symbolic realms of the Western world.
