“Monstrous” begins by crossing a boundary. It is about what is outside: expelled, disjointed, deformed, anomalous. Beyond the thresholds, and also at the intersection, the monster signals new forms of reality.
By immersing in the grotesque and existential, against the tradition and normativity, the visitor is confronted to reflect on his identity, as well as to escape and imagine other possible bodies. The show features the work of well-known and anonymous artists in painting, sculpture, graphics and photography.
