JO-HS presents “Nigredo → Albedo → Rubedo”, a group exhibition of contemporary artists exploring the transformation of matter and mind.
Nigredo → Albedo → Rubedo is the threefold alchemical path of transformation, both materially and spiritually. Though it originates in medieval alchemy’s attempts to transmute base metals into gold, it’s most profoundly a psychological and spiritual map – describing the inner alchemy of the soul’s awakening and integration.
This exhibition bridges mysticism, materiality, and the pursuit of the divine through matter, ideas that continue to resonate through contemporary art. Artists today, like alchemists of old, seek the hidden correspondences between the visible and invisible, the earthly and the transcendent. Their work becomes a process of purification, revelation, and union, a mirror for the inner journey of transformation.
