Quid pro Quo. Ver la Madera por el Árbol
This project designed specifically for El cuarto de Máquinas, focuses on the relationship between the mysticism of religious painting, suprasensorial immateriality and the shape of goods. Through a series of paintings, installations and animations, this exhibition reflects on the relationship between raw material and the social forms of production.
Jippies Asquerosos is a curatorial project by Willy Kautz. Its primary objective is to dilute the boundaries between curatorial and artistic practices by extending the production of the artwork towards the exhibition set-up as a medium.
Formed in 2005 and based on the concept of the suprasensible, these expository deployments aim to put the phenomenology of the artwork and the imaginaries of psychedelic culture, art history and sensory experiences in opposition. The projects are exercises of sensory immersion articulated through the tension between the mystic, reflexive and trans-experience and diverse critical frameworks extracted from political economy, aesthetics, ecology and art history.
