Remedies for the Subsoil
“Remedies for the subsoil” is an exhibition born from the practices of CHÉRPIRI, a project with roots in Cherán, Michoacán, which works in dialogue with artistic, cultural and community processes in the p’urhépecha region. For this exhibition, CHÉRPIRI extends its network beyond its immediate territory, weaving correspondences between artists from Puebla, the Huasteca Potosina, the State of Mexico, Yucatán, and other places that, although geographically distant, share spiritual and political affinities. The exhibition proposes to understand the subsoil as a living space: a territory of roots, micelles, minerals, memories and underground forces.
