Resonances from the Garden of Delights. An Aural Experience and of Entropy
The Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil – MACG presents the group show “Resonances from the Garden of Delights. An Aural Experience and of Entropy“. 27 works in total with an interdisciplinary character, most of them sound art, comprise the exhibition with which Mexico joins the celebration of 500 years of the demise of Hieronymus Bosch.
Vania Rojas, director of Carrillo Gil Art Museum, the museum harboring the exhibition, underlined that in this project took part 24 artists with works based in “The Garden of Earthly Delights” by the Dutch painter, which currently is in El Prado Museum. The mysteries and enigmas of the painting depicting the Genesis, the sin and decadence of the human beings, were used as the point of departure for the artists to create the 27 works that make up the exhibition.
In this exhibit, the public can appreciate the soundscapes as well as the intervened photos, painting and sculpture, together with sound installations, mutant prototypes, video, and interactive installations.
