Ricardo Martínez: Desde El Interior

Born from the collaboration between Museum of the Palace of Fine Arts and the Ricardo Martínez de Hoyos AC Foundation, the exhibition “Desde El Interior (From the Inside)” marks the centenary from the birth of the Mexican artist Ricardo Martínez. The exhibition collects mostly unpublished works and materials by the artist, which highlight his creative process. Besides the pieces by Martínez, the display is enriched by explanatory materials which better contextualise his work: an introductory video, timelines and maps illustrate the historical frame in which Martínez’s career developed and its importance for Mexican plastic arts in general.
