Sarah Crowner: Zigzags & Curves
This two-part exhibition by Sarah Crowner highlights the deliberate contrast between the linear works (the “zigzags”) and the fluid, curved forms (the “curves”) within her paintings. The exhibition is split across two locations, each presenting a distinct formal approach. Curated by Crowner, the first location features works characterised by non-geometric, linear, and sharp-edged forms, with contributions from Frida Escobedo, Fanny Sanín, Celso Renato, Gerda Gruber, Habbuba Farah, Graciela Iturbide, John Zurier, and Lygia Clark.
The second location, Casa Palmas (1535 Palmas, Lomas de Chapultepec), presents Crowner’s solo and previously unseen works, focusing on biomorphic curves and natural forms. The exhibition at Casa Palmas runs after ZONA MACO until 20 February and is available by appointment only.
