Theatre of Operations

Hilario Galguera Gallery presents the dual exhibition Theatre of Operations by Enrique Ježik and Joaquín Segura. Using different media, both artists approach the theme of power and its abuses on social and political structures today. Touching on themes of violence, resistance and rebellion. Enrique Ježik’s looks to surveillance, urban transgression, war, the complexity and violence of international relationships, riots and the way media reacts. His media includes drawing, sculpture, performance, videos and texts. Joaquín Segura addresses transform real political events into fiction blurring the line between conspiracy and reality using installations, interventions and photographic works.
