Visualidades en Conflicto

Centro de la Imagen – Mexico City, Plaza de la Ciudadela 2, Centro Histórico,

The collective exhibition is the first step of a group investigation which includes photography, field work, interviews and archival research carried out by artists Zahara Gómez, Juan Orrantia and Mauricio Palos in Argentina, Guatemala, Colombia and Mexico between 2017 and 2018. Artist Rodrigo Morales also joins with an intervention aimed to highlight the processes of emancipation and resistance born in response to Latin American dictatorships. “Visualidades en Conflicto (Conflicting Visualities)” builds on the research of professor Andrea Noble, conducted prior to her death.
