Alexs Israel X Snapchat

The Bass is hosting the Alex Israel X Snapchat exhibition: a body of artwork using Snap’s augmented reality technology to bring Alex Israel’s portraits to life.

The artist has created five augmented reality experiences, each linked to one of his Self -Portrait paintings. A sixth, site-specific work will be projected onto the museum’s Art Deco facade.

In this exhibition, technology helps to connect augmented reality and real physical objects, the paintings become portals to immersive and animated experiences.
